At its center is Rosinha, a woman from Guinea who in 1934 was made the emblem of Portugal’s first colonial exhibition—a spectacle designed to showcase colonial “knowledge” for the Portuguese public. Through archival footage, the documentary unravels Rosinha’s story, posing critical questions about national myth-making and the denial of systemic racism.
